  • How does the treatment work?

Professional skin needling creates thousands of micro medical needle columns into the skin, each one penetrates the epidermal layers, stimulating the skin to naturally regenerate and repair itself. Immediately following treatment the tiny micro-holes will close and the skin will start its natural healing process. In the weeks following the procedure the skin will start to repair and regenerate itself below the surface of the dermis, forming new collagen, stimulating new skin cells, remodelling the collagen matrix, enhancing the lower levels of the skin, the process will continue over the next few months leaving you with smoother brighter rejuvenated skin. Treatment is very prescriptive to your concerns as the device is very precise and fine-tuned which allows your practitioner to accurately control the EDS treatment and the intensity throughout, adjusting the needle depth and speed based on the area and condition of the skin allowing for maximum results.

  • Treatment Benefits

There are a number of treatment benefits to be had for EDS treatment. The mechanism of creating tiny microchannels in the skin stimulates the body’s wound healing process. This will stimulate the production of collogen and elastin. These essential proteins will help to improve the dermal structure of the skin, thus improving the skins elasticity and firmness. This will result in a reduction of the appearance of scars, stretch marks, fine lines and winkles, while improving the skins tone and texture and minimising concerns such as open pores. The treatment will improve the circulation to the skin, resulting in a much brighter radiant complexion.

  • Is used to treat

EDS skin rejuvenation is commonly used to treat:

    • Acne scars
    • Photo-damaged and ageing skin
    • Facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles
    • Stretch marks and skin texture concerns

  • Treatment safety and side effects

Here at Staffordshire Skin & Laser we are a medical led clinic and only use EDS Rejuvenate for professional skin needling as this device offers the highest standard quality sterile needles and has been through the strictest quality control system to ensure a safe and thorough procedure. Sub optimal needling devices can result in excessive skin trauma and potential scarring.

  • How many treatments will I need?

On average a course of 3-5 treatments are recommended, spaced 4- 6 weeks apart, allowing for new cell production, collagen and elastin stimulation and skin healing. Some patients will require more than this to achieve optimum results.

  • When will I see results?

As we are waiting for the skin to naturally repair and rejuvenate itself, results tend to show around 6 weeks post procedure and will continue for several months. Additional treatments will further enhance your treatment results.

  • Am I suitable for treatment?
