For fat reduction and or skin tightening we will assess the area and advised a personalised treatment plan tailored to your individual needs, shape and goals During your consultation we will discuss the benefits, potential side effects, risks, treatment alternatives and answer any questions you may have. As we are passionate about results we will also we will also advise on a ZO Skin protocol as well and nutritional support to allow for optimal results. During your treatment you will be lying comfortably on a couch and your practitioner will place a grounding pad on your back to allow the radiofrequency energy to be delivered. A cool conductive cream will be applied to your skin followed by the Exilis handpiece. As treatment begins you will feel circular motions with the handpiece and you will feel the skin gradually beginning to heat up. The area may feel a little tender and hot during the treatment however once the handpiece is removed from the skin this instantly settles. 

Exilis Ultra is a great treatment option for any part of the body you are looking for a fat reduction or skin tightening, or a combination of the two. Single or multiple areas can be treated in one session. Some of the common areas treated include the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, inner knees, love handles, bra and back fat.

Prior to any treatment at Staffordshire Skin & Laser Clinic a full medical consultation and assessment will be carried out to ensure there are no treatment contraindications as your safety is our priority. Although suitable for most people the procedure is not suitable for any of the following:

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Pacemaker or internal defibrillator or Internal electronic devices
• Metal implants including the copper coil or dental braces close to the treatment area
• Deep (ablative) chemical peel or resurfacing treatment in last 3 months in the treatment area
• Active skin infection or inflammation including eczema, psoriasis in the treatment area
• Impaired immunity, poor wound healing or bleeding disorders
• Accutane within the last 12 months
• Immune disorders such as Scleroderma
• Radiation therapy
• Kidney or liver disease
• Cardiovascular disease
• Varicose veins
• Certain radiologic procedures
• Skin sensitivity disorders, Lupus

We advise a course of 4-6 sessions 7-10 days apart. This can be followed by maintenance treatments that will be discussed by your practitioner depending on your individual needs.

Even after your very first session you may notice your skin feeling more radiant and rejuvenated, however for full results new collagen and elastin needs to be stimulated, and this process can take anything from around 4-6 weeks and continues for up to 12 weeks after treatments. It is this collagen stimulating effect that will give the desired skin lifting and tightening effects, and 12 weeks is optimal time for any destroyed fat cells to be excreted resulting in a reduction or stubborn pockets of fat.
