Firstly Emtone’s radiofrequency energy will gradually warm the skin to around 108-1110F. As the skin reaches optimal temperature it will start to undergo structural changes. This will lead to a tightening and firming of the skin due to the stimulation of new collagen and elastin fibres. This will continually to improve over the following weeks. Whilst collagen is been stimulated the second part of the treatment that occurs simultaneously is the delivery of acoustic waves. This part of the treatment will increase the blood circulation to the area, improve lymphatic draining and removal of waste toxins and water retention, whilst releasing the tight septate fibres that pull the skin down, resulting in the formation of cellulite dimples. During your consultation a tailored treatment plan will be advised. Most patients will under go 4-6 treatment sessions scheduled either once or twice per week.

The revolutionary EMTONE technology is based on a simultaneous delivery of thermal and mechanical energy. The most common perception of the therapy is being compared to a hot stone massage with intense mechanical vibrations. The treatment will be performed while you are in a relaxed lying down position

The results of Emtone typically last 3-6 months. It is then advised that a follow up treatment will help to maintain the skins cellulite reduction.

Prior to treatment we advised you avoid a heavy meal, attend treatment in comfortable clothes that are not to restrictive and importantly ensure that you are hydrated. Other than that, pre treatment preparation is minimal.

During your treatment you will be lying comfortably on a couch and your practitioner will place a grounding pad on your back to allow the radiofrequency energy to be delivered. A cool conductive cream will be applied to your skin followed by the Emtone handpiece. As treatment begins you will feel circular motions with the handpiece and hear and feel intense mechanical vibrations, you will feel the skin gradually beginning to heat up. The area may feel a little tender and hot during the treatment however once the handpiece is removed from the skin this instantly settles.

Your skin may look pink for a bout 30 minutes and feel warm to touch, however you will be able to continue with normal daily activities.
