Prior to any treatment at Staffordshire Skin & Laser Clinic a full medical consultation and assessment will be carried out with our Nurse Practitioner/Aesthetician. This will enable us to determine that there are no treatment contraindications. Most people are suitable for treatment as there are few contraindications, however it’s always best to assess.

Emsculpt is the ideal treatment for anyone looking to build muscle, definition and tone areas including the abdomen, buttocks, arms and calves.

The procedure is non-invasive and requires no recovery time. Side effects are very rare, although the skin may feel a little flushed and warm post treatment. This will usually settle within an hour or so. You can easily have this treatment during your normal working day and return to your daily activities immediately.

A 30 minute treatment with a minimum of 4 to 6 sessions scheduled 2-3 days apart. A treatment plan will be tailored to your specific needs.

When undergoing an Emsculpt treatment, paddles will be placed onto the treatment area, whilst you lie down on the treatment couch. Once the procedure begins you will start to feel impulses as your muscle contacts, the intensity will start off low, then your practitioner will gradually increase it throughout your session. As the intensity increases you will feel periods of buzzing sensations as the muscle contracts followed by periods of tapping as the muscles have a period of relaxation. This is not an uncomfortable treatment, and your body quickly gets use to the sensation.After the procedure it feels like you have had an amazing workout, as each treatment approximately induces 20,000 contractions.
